Oil spill perspective Part 1
In my eyes one of the big reasons for the oil spill is Big Business versus their workers. This seems rather like an old argument or excuse some may say, but it is a true argument. Let’s be frank, when its put into perspective Big Business is in the business of making more money, workers are in the business of trying to make ends meet so they can provide a comfortable life for their families. The biggest issue between the two is communication, neither party is looking at it from the others perspective, which this statement is more so aimed at Big Business. Looking from the Big Business, the BP’s of the world Perspective, the reason this oil spill is so important to them is the fact that now and in the future they lose a profuse amount of money, or is that really the case? As much as I am an Obama supporter I’m skeptical of the escrow fund, but that is a different topic. If you look at the CEO of BP saying that he is going to stay in the gulf coast until this disaster is over, then a week later is seen at a yachting tournament in Great Britain. I don’t know about some, but normal working middle class people can’t afford to take a weekend and go see a yachting tournament when a crisis like this, that is threatening the livelihood and living condition for people, is going on. Everyday on television we see high ranking government officials and upper level executives from BP giving their input on how things are in the Gulf coast, and they say they know how the people are suffering, but in the midst of all the chaos and uncertainty surrounding the people of the gulf, these officials and executives are the only people who have an income, who knows how their bills are going to get paid, and who knows where their next meal is going to come from. The sad part about it all is that all of those things are going to come from the very people that they are exploiting. Big Business doesn’t suffer because they aren’t the ones who have to go out on oil rigs and put in hard gut wrenching work and spend months at a time away from their families, no big business, they are the ones who get corner offices and make millions of dollars per year and in turn make decisions that affect your 50,000 dollars per year but not their millions. Now look at the oil spill, based on their decisions your 50,000 per year is gone, but they still have their corner offices. Hundreds of thousands of people in the gulf coast went to bed one night having worked hard to make a decent living and take care of their families, when they awoke the next morning they had zero income, because of a decision that was made by a man, a man who was upset that a job wasn’t getting done in the time frame that was given. In this Big Business decision, they ignored how difficult of a job it was to be drilling for oil a mile below the surface of the water, they ignored dyer safety measures that might have saved a rig, but most of all they ignored the safety of the peoples lives that they are destroying, of the thousands of jobs lost, and the livelihood of the people all because of the Dollar. So in the view of Big Business, from my perspective, the dollar is worth more than the lives of the 50,000 dollar per year, hard working, middle class Gulf Coast Families, and workers.

Coming soon
Lupe Fiasco said it best in his song entitled Pressure off of his debut album Food & Liquor. the Exact Lyric was "they said Oil and Water don't Mix, now they all down at the beach Washing off the fish." That was in reference to the Exxon Valdez Spill in Alaska in 1989. Todays Oil Spill is much worse that then. I am currently doing my research so that i can discuss the oil spill, so I do apologize for not having frequent updates but a real update is coming soon.

Intro
The purpose of my blog is to take a look at events that go on in our nation as well as abroad, and tie them into global politics from a real life perspective. Dont get me wrong when something in our world happens is it real life but I dont want to look at it from all of the different perspectives out there, you CNN's and MSNBC's or Fox news broadcast, those are rehearsed, and read from a TelePrompTer, my blog is real and its unbiased. The goal, again, of my blog is to look at the events of the nation and abroad, i will show how each event that happens is somehow connected from Continent to Continent, state to state, and even city to city. In my opinion it is time for people to start understanding that its not just America anymore, this world is so globally connected and intertwined, that if President Obama spent 2 dollars on a snicker bar right now, 30 nations are in line to get a cut of that money. Everything works together "now" and its time for us to realize that and take this on, otherwise we could no longer remain a super power. Stay Tuned
